Performing Arts

SEAL students are offered the opportunity to participate in a performing arts program which encourages positive risk taking, opportunity for interest/talent exploration, self-expression, and the chance to perform in any or all of three variety shows, as well as an annual school play.


SEAL offers a variety of extra-curricular activities, including:

•Nature Club
•Photography Club 

•Weight Training Club

Intramural Sports
SEAL proudly runs a year-long, therapeutic, intramural sports league. SEAL students are provided the opportunity to participate in seasonal intramural sports against other SEAL campuses. SEAL coaches put a strong emphasis on team work, appropriate participation and positive sportsmanship. Learning a sport provides immense life-long lessons from learning to read and memorize plays, to collaborating with your team. 
SEAL also participates in both sporting and academic tournaments through the Chicago Area Alternative Education LeagueCAAEL, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, has been providing a full spectrum of academic, athletic, and art programs to the Chicagoland area’s most at-risk youth since 1976.
