​Performing Arts

SEAL students are offered the opportunity to participate in a performing arts program which encourages positive risk taking, opportunity for interest/talent exploration, self-expression, and the chance to perform in any or all of three variety shows, as well as an annual school play.

Intramural Sports

SEAL proudly runs a year-long, therapeutic, intramural sports league. SEAL students are provided the opportunity to participate in seasonal intramural sports against other SEAL campuses. SEAL coaches put a strong emphasis on team work, appropriate participation and positive sportsmanship. Learning a sport provides immense life-long lessons from learning to read and memorize plays, to collaborating with your team.

SEAL also participates in both sporting and academic tournaments through the Chicago Area Alternative Education League. CAAEL, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, has been providing a full spectrum of academic, athletic, and art programs to the Chicagoland area’s most at-risk youth since 1976.
