FUNDAMENTALS OF ART  Length: One Semester  CPT Code: 05155A000                                           Level: G The introductory art course, Fundamentals of Art  provides the fundamental background in concepts  and skills required for success in all additional art  courses (2-D and/or 3-D).  Students work in a  variety of artistic media, including pencil, pen, ink,  paint, clay and computer-assisted design.  Understanding of the elements of art, principles of  design, and color theory are developed through  practice of techniques and use of artistic materials.  INTERGRATED FINE ARTS  Length: One Semester  CPT Code: 05201A000                                           Level: G Integrated Fine Arts provides students the opportunity to explore self-expression across the fine arts: any subset or all of the visual arts, music, drama, theater, and literature may be included in the curriculum for these courses. Students  both study and critique the works of others and participate in or produce art themselves. MUSIC APPRECIATION  Length: One Semester  CPT Code: 05116A000                                           Level: G In this class, students will listen to, analyze and  evaluate music and musical performances from an  historical to a contemporary perspective.  As a result,  students will develop greater historical music  knowledge, gain exposure to a variety of musical  styles, advance their ability to connect their won  musical interests to history, create a foundation to  inform their future musical experiences and  investigate potential music industry application that  might be relevant to their lives.
